Kingsgate Lawn Tennis Club is a community-based, family-orientated tennis club based in the heart of historic Winchester.

The Men's team kicked off their Summer 2012 campaign with a 6-3 win over Romsey & Abbey, played at Kingsgate.

Start Of Season Day Cancelled!

Dear All,

We have decided that in view of a pretty dire forecast for Sunday 29th April, that it would be better to cancel the open day now. The band could certainly not play in the rain and gales forecast, and nor could the young (or old) bounce on the Castle, even if we could persuade the barbecue to work.

We will reschedule the day as soon as possible - Sunday 13th May is a possibility, but the long-term forecast is also not good, so it may be June.

The Wimbledon draw will not be able to take place this Sunday. It will take place on Wednesday 2nd May at about 8pm at the mix-in (unless that gets cancelled too!) Please note that you do need to be a member of British Tennis to get tickets, but you can join retrospectively.

Start Of Season Day - New Date Sunday 13th May

Dear Members

The new date for the start of season day is SUNDAY 13th MAY 2012, 1pm onwards.

The band have confirmed that they can come, the bouncy castle will be inflated and the barbecue sizzling. Please come along with your friends and your rackets. We will go ahead if the weather makes it at all possible.

Pumpkin Competition

I have recently launched a 'grow your own pumpkin' competition, so far i have 33 families entered ensuring at least over 100 people turn up for the finals which are being held on October 13th. This will be a social event of much merriment, traditional fete games, food, music and of course prizes for the various categories of pumpkin. Entry is £5 for the whole family and each family can enter as many categories as they like. On the evening all drinks will be free but i will be asking most to bring a dish of some description.
